The First Round of 2008

When there’s snow on the ground, brown grass everywhere, and a high near 50, you can bet it’s golfing season in North Dakota. Today I had the opportunity to show my clubs some cold turf out at Leonard Sand Hills Golf Course on their opening day.
The weather was a balmy 55 degrees, which after a long winter feels like a Caribbean vacation. After a bunch of mediocre holes I managed to find a birdie and finish reasonably steady. Hopefully a sign of good things to come. I imagine I’ll be indoors working with the irons this weekend before golf season kicks into high gear.
